Debossing
This is the opposite finish to embossing. With debossing the image is permanently indented into the card by using the raised die on the surface of the stock. The contrast of light and shadow in the recessed area will draw attention to the design feature. Widely used in combination with foil blocking to create simply stunning impact. By combining debossing and embossing it is possible to create an attractive fluted finish which is guaranteed to add extra interest.
